While the combat Star Wars Jedi: Survivor bears plenty of resemblance to the crushingly hard Sekiro, like Fallen Order before it, the game also has plenty of difficulty options to make it accessible for player of all skill levels. Continuing the story of Cal Kestis and the crew of the Stinger Mantis, Survivor is an ambitious expansion on Fallen Order, greatly expanding on the previous game with new characters, combat options, and larger worlds to explore. For players who'd rather focus on the story (or those who want an extra challenge), however, the game includes several difficulty options to tweak the experience to any preference.
While the combat of Star Wars Jedi: Suvivor most closely resembles FromSoftware's Sekiro, with a guard meter and a particular focus on parrying attacks, the game, as well as its predecessor, Fallen Order, are significantly more approachable, with multiple difficulty levels for players to choose from and Force powers to give more combat options. Unlike a game such as Sekiro, where players will essentially have to get a firm grasp on parrying to make any significant progress, the modular difficulty of the Star Wars Jedi series allows for players less invested in the combat to focus more on the game's story and exploration.
