Warning: This article contains spoilers for The Mandalorian season 3, episode 3.
The Mandalorian season 3, episode 3 returns Star Wars to one of the prequels' most memorable locations. A perfect bridge between all Star Wars eras, The Mandalorian continues to reference characters and worlds from the prequels, the original films, and the sequel trilogy. Now, the hit Star Wars show returns to Coruscant, a planet in which several galaxy-altering moments took place.
A The Mandalorian tour of Coruscant from the perspective of Dr. Pershing (Omid Abtahi) and Elia Kane (Katy M. O'Brian) was a significant change of pacing for season 3. After concluding Din Djarin's (Pedro Pascal) quest for redemption in Mandalore’s Living Waters, The Mandalorian season 3 left Mando and Grogu aside for most of the episode to introduce a new storyline. This unexpected visit to Coruscant in The Mandalorian season 3 was full of prequel callbacks, including major references to Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith.
