The Star Wars: Rangers of the New Republic Disney+ TV show would have starred Gina Carano as Cara Dune, but it was canceled by Disney. At Disney's Investor Day 2020, Lucasfilm boss Kathleen Kennedy took the stage to announce a range of upcoming Star Wars TV shows. She officially announced Rangers of the New Republic, Andor, Ahsoka, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Star Wars: Visions, Lando, The Acolyte, Star Wars: A Droid Story, and Patty Jenkins' Rogue Squadron movie.
Three years on, many of these projects have become a reality – notably Andor, Ahsoka, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and Star Wars: Visions.
