While the lightsaber is the most iconic Star Wars weapon, there are plenty of other cool weapons seen throughout the galaxy. The rich variation of cultures in the galaxy has allowed for many unique weapons to be produced, from the Tuskens of the Dune Sea to Mandalorian warriors. Some weapons don't have a specific cultural origin, but they have certainly left an iconic impact on the Star Wars franchise, and thus have stood apart from the other tools of defense people in the galaxy use.
The more Star Wars has continued to expand its galaxy, the more new weapons have been introduced. Even lightsabers themselves have several variations, with the Mandalorian Darksaber being just one example of this, but there are also many other weapons Jedi would never touch that are just downright cool. Some have a rich history, and some just look really awesome when they're used against an opponent. Here are 11 of the weapons other than lightsabers that are simply the coolest in Star Wars.

While the gaffi stick originated in A New Hope with the Tuskens, The Book of Boba Fett episode 2 shows the beautiful and careful process of crafting the gaffi stick. Boba is seen receiving guidance to a tree on Tatooine to retrieve a strong branch that he then carves by hand to perfection, creating this awesome weapon that's also a touching tribute to Boba Fett actor Temuera Morrison's own Māori culture – seamlessly blending part of the real world into the Star Wars galaxy.
10 Han Solo's Blaster Original Trilogy, Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Solo: A Star Wars Story Close Han Solo's DL-44 blaster is simply iconic, and while it may just be a simple blaster, it has quite the history. The blaster itself was given some backstory in Solo: A Star Wars Story, as viewers learned that Han got the blaster from Tobias Beckett. As one of the most powerful blasters in the galaxy, Han was easily able to make any modifications he wanted to either expand the blaster into a rifle or slim it down to provide himself with a quicker draw. He chose the latter, and thus his legacy and that of his blaster was cemented in Star Wars history.
9 Din Djarin's Whistling Birds The Mandalorian, The Book of Boba Fett First introduced in The Mandalorian season 1, episode 3, Din Djarin's whistling birds are one of the Mandalorian weapons that is, so far, unique to him. While they need to be used sparingly due to their rarity, whistling birds can fire and find their targets on their own, taking out multiple adversaries in just one launch with small explosions. So far, Din has only been seen using them four times throughout The Mandalorian's three seasons and once in The Book of Boba Fett, proving the rarity of the weapon.
