Ahsoka’s season 1 finale left the majority of the main characters stranded on Peridea, meaning a thrilling rematch is likely already in the works for Ahsoka season 2. Ahsoka didn’t shy away from heavy fight sequences, including multiple lightsaber duels, which not only left audiences wanting more, but also sparked rivalries that will continue as more content following these characters releases. With so many Force and magick wielders shown in Ahsoka season 1, it seems a given that more amazing and mystic fights will take place, including Jedi and their rivals.
Two of the most mysterious characters to come from Ahsoka were Baylan Skoll and his apprentice, Shin Hati. In Ahsoka episode 7, Baylan set off to discover what had been calling out to him on Peridea, which led to his finding statues of the Mortis gods. His parting words to Shin were to stay with Grand Admiral Thrawn because he could help her ambition to gain power, though she ultimately stayed behind. It wasn’t the first time audiences had seen Shin Hati hold contempt for individuals who had a lack of Force-wielding talents—in fact, Shin openly mocked Sabine Wren on Seatos, telling her that she had no power.

Shin's Contempt For Sabine Means A Rematch Is Inevitable One of the best elements of Shin and Sabine’s rivalry was that Shin thought little of Sabine because of her lack of ability to access the Force. Meanwhile, Sabine was frustrated that she couldn’t access the Force, which put her at a disadvantage both times she and Shin faced off. However, with Sabine Wren finally opening herself up to the Force in Ahsoka episode 8, it seems a rematch between the two apprentices is bound to happen. Not only are Sabine and Shin stranded on Peridea, but it’s likely both will be attempting to follow Baylan Skoll and will meet again on their journey.
Additionally, Sabine now has everything Shin did at the beginning of Ahsoka—a master who is willing to teach her and a connection to the Force. Shin may hold additional contempt for the Mandalorian because her master came back for her, whereas Baylan abandoned Shin at a key moment in her life. This will anger Shin even more, fueling her power for their inevitable rematch. Sabine seems to have found a balance in the Force by the end of Ahsoka season 1, whereas Shin’s entire world has completely flipped in a matter of days.
