Star Wars is a galaxy packed full of fantastic characters that have made frequent appearances across the franchise, but there are some truly amazing Star Wars characters who have only appeared in the video game medium. As Star Wars is one of the biggest universes with a vast array of unique characters, there is a chance some fans are unfamiliar with some of these Star Wars heroes.
Whether players enjoy meeting new companions and memorable NPCs or reuniting with returning characters like in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, the world of Star Wars video games has a plethora of charismatic people for players to adventure with. As the Star Wars galaxy continues to expand, there are so many more incredible characters than are ever seen in shows and movies. From Star Wars games now considered Legends to more recent releases, some of the greatest Star Wars characters to only appear in games.
12 Starkiller Starkiller, also known as Galen Marek, is the protagonist of The Force Unleashed series. Taken as a child to be Darth Vader's secret apprentice, Starkiller is a formidable Force user. Starkiller is a wonderfully complicated anti-hero, and playing as Starkiller is tremendous fun as very few Star Wars games let players be a Sith and unleash the power of the dark side. Although he has a suitably tragic backstory along with a redemption arc, Starkiller is unfortunately unlikely to rejoin Star Wars canon, but players can still enjoy Starkiller’s adventures in The Force Unleashed.
11 Darth Malak Darth Malak serves as the primary antagonist for Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. The former Sith apprentice turned Sith Lord is a fascinating character. Born as Alek, he joined the Jedi Order before falling to the dark side along with his best friend, Revan. Malak is an interesting Sith character as he repeatedly shows that he doesn't completely agree with the Empire's beliefs. However, players should remember that despite his sense of honor, he is without mercy and as hard as his metal jaw when it comes to dealing with his enemies.
10 Canderous Ordo Canderous Ordo is one of many companions players can recruit in Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. The Mandalorian warrior once fought against the Republic during the Mandalorian Wars, and when players first encounter him is working as a mercenary. Canderous provides much of what is still considered canon Star Wars lore about Mandalore throughout KOTOR. Canderous eventually became Mandalore the Preserver and reunited the scattered Mandalorian clans during the Old Republic era, similar to Bo-Katan Kryze in season three of The Mandalorian. Canderous is fiercely loyal to Revan, with many KOTOR players wanting a dark side romance option involving him.
9 Iden Versio Iden Versio is the protagonist of Star Wars Battlefront 2's single-player campaign. The only female to ever have been the fixed lead of a Star Wars game, Versio is a fascinating character and the leader of the Empire's Inferno Squad, an elite commando unit of pilots. Versio is a brilliant character that lets players peek behind the curtain into the heart of the Empire and experience it from the point of view of a good person who is still loyal to their ideals. Eventually reaching her limit with the Empire's tyranny, Versio defected to the Resistance completing a wonderful character arc that was unfortunately wasted in a predominantly multiplayer game.
