Guillermo del Toro has revealed his Jabba the Hutt movie would have been the "Scarface" of the Star Wars galaxy. The last few weeks have seen viewers learn a little more about Guillermo del Toro's dream Star Wars movie, which would have featured Jabba the Hutt. This has previously been described as the Godfather of the Star Wars franchise, but sadly Lucasfilm passed on the project.

Speaking to the Happy Sad Confused podcast, del Toro has gone into a little more detail about his idea for a Jabba the Hutt movie – which would presumably have been part of Lucasfilm's canceled anthologies project. "I would love to do a Jabba the Hutt Scarface, his ascension in the crime family," he explained. "I just love monsters, and Jabba is a) basically my same shirt size, and b) I love him, man."
