Ahsoka reintroduced Jedi Ezra Bridger into the Star Wars galaxy, but it does raise the question of how powerful he is, and whether he’s stronger than Luke Skywalker. The two Jedi have many similarities, including being born around the same day—Empire Day. Empire Day was when the Empire was originally established, which was hours after the initial execution of Order 66 and the slaughter of the Jedi, with Padmé Amidala’s death just after giving birth to twins Luke and Leia just two days later. Oddly, Luke Skywalker and Ezra Bridger’s similarities don’t end there.
Throughout the course of Star Wars Rebels, Ezra nearly meets Luke in the Rebels season 3 episode “Twin Suns,” which sees Ezra travel to Tatooine to warn Obi-Wan Kenobi that Maul is going to kill him. Luke can be seen at the end of the episode as Aunt Beru calls him back into their home. Ezra also met Luke’s sister Leia in the Rebels season 2 episode “A Princess on Lothal.” Despite these connections, Luke and Ezra have never met. It’s possible the two could connect in Ahsoka season 2, or even in Dave Filoni’s The Mandalorian-era movie, where the more powerful Jedi will be determined.

However, he learned the ways of the Force much faster than anyone thought. He was about 14 when he met his master, Kanan Jarrus, and began his Jedi training. In Rebels, Kanan even says that he was shocked Ezra got his kyber crystal so soon into his training. Ezra was a quick learner, and while his age may have been a factor in that, even before he knew about the Force he was able to sense other Force-sensitive people like Kanan, showing he had a strong natural bond with the energy field.
Similarly to Luke Skywalker, the Force felt natural to Ezra, and he was able to learn and grow quickly. Just about two years into his training, he was incredibly powerful, something that even caught Darth Maul’s attention. While Ezra had a brief stint using the dark side, he still did it with good intentions. He wanted to become more powerful to protect the ones he loved, and while the Sith Holocron wasn’t the way to do that, Ezra ultimately became a better Jedi because of the trial.
