Despite being the Chosen One, Anakin Skywalker was not the most powerful Jedi in Star Wars, as that honor goes to Ahsoka Tano. The Star Wars prequel trilogy focused on Anakin's desire to become the most powerful Jedi, and while he became very strong in the Force, his lust for power drove him to the dark side. Darth Vader even admitted that he was "but the learner" the last time he faced Obi-Wan Kenobi, so audiences were initially shocked to learn that Anakin trained his own Padawan. Thankfully, George Lucas made the right call pairing Ahsoka with Anakin, and their relationship demonstrated why one was more powerful than the other.
Ahsoka managed to be the most powerful Jedi in Star Wars despite claiming that she was not a Jedi. She walked away from the Order, renounced certain Jedi practices afterward, and refused to train Grogu after what happened with Anakin. However, none of this could change that Ahsoka was a great Jedi at heart and far more powerful than Anakin ever was.
