Ubisoft's new open-world adventure Star Wars Outlaws was unveiled recently, promising to show players the gritty underworld of the galaxy's crime syndicates. These organizations have cropped up throughout Star Wars media, in comics, animated series, and most recently in The Book of Boba Fett. These criminal enterprises are a perfect way for writers of Star Wars stories to show another side of the galaxy far, far away.
Star Wars Outlaws will follow new protagonist Kay Vess as she attempts to pull off the biggest heist the Outer Rim has ever seen. Kay will have to navigate the criminal underworld, pulling jobs and avoiding bounties as she risks it all to start a new life. The stunning cinematic trailer for Star Wars Outlaws teased players with glimpses of Jabba the Hutt and the Pykes, but there are more crime syndicates that could feature in the latest Star Wars game.
