Lucasfilm boss Kathleen Kennedy has officially confirmed Rey's upcoming new Jedi Order movie will connect to Star Wars' Jedi origin film. Speaking at Star Wars Celebration 2023, Lucasfilm's Kathleen Kennedy announced the next three movies in the ever-expanding franchise. James Mangold will tell a story about the first Force user, Dave Filoni will draw together the various threads of The Mandalorian era in a blockbuster movie, and Shareem Obaid-Chinoy will continue the story of Daisy Ridley's Rey Skywalker.
