An outstanding Star Wars cosplay recreates Darth Vader and Boba Fett in honor of Return of the Jedi's 40th anniversary. Although Sith Lord and bounty hunter only shared a few scenes in the original trilogy, the two have nevertheless become an iconic duo in the Star Wars franchise as Vader sends Fett on several missions for the Empire. Both characters never removed their helmets in the original trilogy, and Fett was one of the few villains not to cower in Vader's presence, making him a perfect foil to the Dark Lord of the Sith.
Star Wars cosplayer Jim Baldwin captured that dynamic perfectly in his rendition of Vader and Fett, a fine addition to his impressive catalog of Boba Fett cosplays.
Both Vader and Fett look exceptional, and the cosplayers inside the suits do an excellent job embodying each character's distinct pose. The rugged background doesn't detract from the photo at all, looking like a seemingly abandoned rebel base that Vader and Fett are cautiously exploring.
What Role Will Boba Fett Play In The Mandoverse? With the number of Vader/Fett stories that have already been told, it's unclear what Boba Fett's future will be in the Mandoverse. The books and comics set during the original trilogy can only have Vader and Fett team up so many times, making Fett's reign as Tatooine's crime lord the best place to tell new stories. With Ahsoka tracking Grand Admiral Thrawn and Din Djarin already an enemy of the Imperial Remnant, it would be interesting to see whether Fett would openly fight against the Empire he once worked with. Doing so could endanger his new Empire on Tatooine, even if he has become a man of honor.
