While no release dates have been officially announced for any upcoming Star Wars films, one date stands out as the perfect release window for Rey's new Jedi Order movie. At Star Wars Celebration 2023, three new Star Wars films were officially announced for the next era of the franchise on the big screen. One is a film directed by Dave Filoni and set in the New Republic era which is set to culminate the story of The Mandalorian, while another centers on the origins of the Jedi Order, written and directed by James Mangold.
The third film was confirmed to be set after Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, focusing on the rebuilding of the Jedi Order by Rey Skywalker. Other than the return of Daisy Ridley and the confirmation that Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy will direct the film, not much has been divulged about the project, including a release date. That being said, one release window in the next half-decade stands out as the optimal time for Lucasfilm to release the first step into the future of Star Wars.
