As a sequel, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is building on the foundation of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and teaching the main protagonist Cal Kestis all-new Jedi tricks for players to enjoy using throughout the game. One of the favorite concepts for Star Wars fans of any age to think about is how fun it would be to have Force Powers, which adds to the appeal of video games such as this. Immersing players in the world of a Jedi Knight and allowing them to play with these types of capabilities can add a lot of enjoyment to a game.
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor manages to avoid a mistake that many sequels make by allowing Cal to actually pick up where he left off from Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order without forgetting all of his abilities. Not only does this avoid a somewhat annoying habit of having to relearn all the prior game's skills, but it sets things up for Cal to learn all-new Jedi powers. His previous Force Powers are still available and can be used in conjunction with the new mechanics, and are still useful despite being recycled from Fallen Order. Among the new abilities Cal learns are six Force Powers that can not only be fun for gameplay mechanics, but fans of Star Wars will love being able to recognize some of these powers and use them in the game.
