From TV shows, books, comics, and even video games, Star Wars has grown into an incredible transmedia franchise whose individual stories make up a far greater whole. Most Star Wars projects stand on their own within the timeline, but some of them take place alongside the movies, expanding on their plotlines to make the story more enjoyable. These releases deserve credit for creating their own exciting tales while also honoring the movies that kicked off the franchise to begin with.
