Star Wars is introducing ever more Order 66 survivors, and there are some Jedi who seem destined to number among them. For three years, the Jedi had fought alongside the clones, waging war against the Separatists. Only a handful in the Jedi Council began to suspect the clone army had somehow been compromised by the Sith, but the scale of Palpatine's plan was greater than they could even begin to imagine. Finally, after revealing his true identity to Anakin Skywalker, Palpatine seduced the young Jedi to the dark side and issued Order 66. All over the galaxy, Jedi died.
A surprising number of Jedi survived Order 66. These include some of the most powerful, masters like Yoda who sensed their fellows dying across the galaxy and were thus forewarned by the ripples that spread out through the Force. Others were Padawans, saved by their masters, who naturally fought to defend others rather than themselves – proving themselves worthy Jedi right to the end. And then there were the fortunate few who survived by a fluke. The sheer number of survivors is actually leading to complaints from some viewers, who argue it is undermining the scale of Order 66. To be fair, though, it's easy to see why Lucasfilm is establishing so many Jedi who escaped the clones; it's because there is tremendous story potential in telling the tale of a Jedi in the Dark Times of the Empire's reign. Here are four characters we expect to have survived Order 66 in canon – eventually.
