The Star Wars franchise will finally depict the Jedi Order’s best starfighter in an upcoming animated Disney+ TV show. The Jedi Vector, introduced in the Star Wars: The High Republic transmedia project, is an older type of Jedi Starfighter that takes advantage of its pilots’ Force abilities and training more than any other Jedi vessel. The ship is comparable to the Legends continuity’s Delta-7 Jedi Starfighters but is even more closely connected to the Jedi, their abilities, and even their philosophies.
Jedi Vectors debuted in Charles Soule's Star Wars: The High Republic: Light of the Jedi, where their design and intricate connection to their Jedi pilots are explored in detail. The starfighter is designed to be operated exclusively by trained Jedi (or Padawans), with certain functions requiring the Force or a lightsaber for operation. A teaser poster for the upcoming animated series, Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures, includes a trio of Jedi Vectors, giving the fascinating starfighters their onscreen debut.
