Star Wars has failed Temuera Morrison with The Book of Boba Fett and The Mandalorian season 3, but the franchise could still bring him back in a very different role. Viewers were delighted when Temuera Morrison returned to Star Wars as Boba Fett; Morrison worked for George Lucas himself as Jango Fett in Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones, and it made sense he would play Jango's cloned "son." Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy later revealed Lucas pushed for Morrison's casting,
As exciting as the casting may have been, its potential has been wasted. The Book of Boba Fett was generally seen as disappointing, attempting to set up a new status quo for the bounty hunter because his traditional role has already been occupied. Boba didn't even appear in The Mandalorian season 3, although Morrison has publicly noted he was supposed to do so. It increasingly feels as though Boba Fett has been written into a corner, and Morrison frankly deserves better treatment from Lucasfilm going forward.
