Ahsoka's mysteries and revelations led to several Star Wars theories, many of which were debunked by the finale. Some of these theories are still possible, as viewers predicted they would come true in Ahsoka's final episode, while others have been proven wrong. Many of the debunked theories also paved the way for new speculation leading into Ahsoka season 2 and Dave Filoni's The Mandalorian movie.
It's fascinating to look back at the various theories throughout Ahsoka season 1, even if some of them were wildly inaccurate. Predicting the outcome makes any Star Wars movie or TV show more fun, and this was especially true through Ahsoka's various twists and turns. Of course, it's important to acknowledge where the story is heading, and 10 notable Star Wars theories were debunked by the Ahsoka season finale.

Thrawn told Morgan Elsbeth that their numbers had dwindled during their time on Peridea, so it would make sense if the Great Mothers had used the resurrection spell first seen in Star Wars: The Clone Wars season 4, episode 19 "Massacre." While the Great Mothers did revive a squad of volunteers, and a few of Thrawn's elite troopers were already zombies, most of the stormtroopers were alive the whole time. As scary as undead troopers are, absolute loyalty in living ones is just as terrifying.
9 Baylan Would Unleash A Dark Side Being Star Wars fans created multiple theories about Baylan Skoll's goal in Ahsoka, and while some may happen in the future, Baylan's brief appearance in the finale meant that none were confirmed. One of the most popular theories claimed that Ahsoka set up Abeloth, a powerful dark side being from Star Wars Legends. Baylan came across statues of the Force Gods of Mortis, and since Abeloth was the Mother in Legends, this theory is still likely. Even so, many viewers believed there would be some confirmation in the Ahsoka finale, so now the reveal will wait for another time.
8 Shin Hati Would Be Redeemed By The End Of Ahsoka Shin Hati had several moments of conflict throughout Ahsoka, and after parting ways with her master, it seemed possible that she would be redeemed in the finale. Like Baylan, however, Shin only showed up at the end of the episode, implying that she would lead the nomads of Peridea. Shin will likely remain an antagonist in Ahsoka season 2, but there's a good chance that Ahsoka will eventually get through to her.
7 Thrawn Was Not Really Loyal To The Empire Lady Morgan and the Imperial Shadow Council expected Thrawn to return and lead the Empire to victory, but another theory suggested that he had a different agenda. Ideas ranged from Thrawn clearing the way for his people, the Chiss Ascendancy, to destroying the Imperial Remnant and rebuilding the Empire in his image. However, Thrawn repeatedly stated that his actions were for the Empire, even around people he would not need to lie to. With a dark army at his disposal and Captain Gilad Pellaeon waiting to follow orders, it seems that Star Wars is preparing for a canon version of the Thrawn trilogy.
6 A Major Character Death Considering the happy ending of Ahsoka season 1, episode 7 "Part Seven: Dreams and Madness," it seemed likely that the show was setting up a tragic outcome in the finale. While Ahsoka and several other characters were trapped on Peridea, none of the heroes were killed fighting Thrawn. Lady Morgan was the only significant character death in the finale, but this was only tragic for the villains. Having someone like Sabine or Ezra Bridger die would have been a bold move, but now all the characters are alive for Ahsoka season 2 and The Mandalorian movie.
5 A Full Ghost Crew Reunion Ahsoka gave Star Wars Rebels fans reunions between certain characters, but many hoped the entire Ghost crew would reunite in the finale. Sabine, Ezra, Hera Syndulla, Chopper, and Zeb Orrelios have appeared in live-action, making a Ghost crew reunion possible if everyone had returned to the Star Wars galaxy. Sadly, Sabine is now trapped on Peridea, and while she may eventually see her family again, there's no telling when it will happen.
4 Baylan Uses The World Between Worlds Another fascinating Ahsoka theory claimed that Baylan was searching for a portal into the World Between Worlds to change the course of history. Baylan told Shin that he was searching for a way to bring the galaxy's cycle of war to an end, and he may see time travel as the way to accomplish his goal. The Mortis Gods statues, Morai the convor's cameo, and Anakin Skywalker's Force Ghost all suggest that there may be an entrance to the World Between Worlds on Peridea. However, if this is what Baylan is searching for, it is yet another theory that will not be confirmed until Ahsoka season 2.
